videoplayer.hu was a Hungarian video hosting service. It started in 2006, and went down on April 1, 2010, with apparently nearly half a million videos.
Archive records suggest that a single line shutdown notice appeared, not more than a week before the shutdown.
During the whole operational period, the site was property of Sanoma Budapest Zrt.
After the shutdown, the videoplayer.hu domain redirected to hotdog.hu videos (until October 2011), then and since a page with the company's active services is shown.
