Wikinews was a free-content news source wiki[1]. The site worked through collaborative journalism.

The project has been transitioned into "read-only mode" on 2026-05-04[2]. Discussions in the community about a possible continuation of the project in another form, possibly as Wikinews Pulse[IAWcite.today], have not yet concluded at the time of writing[3].
