Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (also as RFE/RL, RFERL) is a US 501(c)3 non-profit owned by USAGM, HQ in Prague, Czech Republic.
Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty offers uncensored news from local reporters and sources; exclusive footage from the front lines of Russia’s war on Ukraine, as well an inside look on how people live in Russia during a time of unprecedented turmoil and censorship. Our network of reporters spans across Eastern European and post-Soviet countries, including the Balkan region as well as Southeast Asia, where we focus, among other things, on the realities of life in Afghanistan under the Taliban today.
History
On March 15, 2025, the United States Agency for Global Media terminated grants to RFE/RL and Radio Free Asia following a directive from the Trump Administration.
On March 18, RFE/RL sued USAGM and two USAGM officials to block the grant termination.
The Czech Republic is pushing for EU support to keep Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) running after the Trump administration cut funding for the global broadcaster [1].

Current Time is a 24/7 TV & digital network for Russian speakers, led by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty in cooperation with Voice of America. The network provides Russian speakers worldwide with an alternative to Kremlin-controlled media. Editorially independent, Current Time counters misinformation by providing live news, robust debate, and fact-based, unbiased, balanced reporting on local, regional, and international issues.

Votvot is Radio Liberty's free streaming platform. We will continue to capture the reality in which we all had to find ourselves.
For a long time, this channel published the documentary project “Signs of Life”, which showed Russian life unvarnished. Now such filming in the Russian Federation has become impossible for many reasons. But this does not mean that we are giving up.
