Radio Free Asia (RFA) is a US 501(c)(3) non-profit organization owned by USAGM, HQ in Washington, DC.

RFA is mandated to broadcast to China, Tibet, North Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar. Guided by the core principles of freedom of expression and opinion, RFA serves its viewers and listeners by providing information critical for informed decision-making.

History

On March 15, 2025, the United States Agency for Global Media terminated grants to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty and Radio Free Asia following a directive from the Trump Administration.
