The Chive is an entertainment and humor website featuring mostly image galleries. It was launched in 2008 according to Wikipedia. It formerly described itself as "probably the best site in the world".
Anyone can submit content to The Chive, but content that appears publicly is curated by site staff.
A comparison the Archive.Today captures for this site with the current site shows that many older articles do not exist anymore. Based off the famous quote of Jason Scott, one could say theCHIVE is an archive in the same way a supermarket is a food museum. If you find anything of value there, save it. The same applies to theBERRY.com, its sister site.
