Virgin Media plc is a company which provides fixed and mobile telephone, television and broadband internet services to businesses and consumers in the United Kingdom.[1] They discontinued their personal web space service on April 28, 2016.[2]
A brief history
Cable TV started its roll out in the 90's at various places in the UK under different local names. By the late 90's NTL and Telewest were merging all the smaller cable companies around to offer more services. Available at the time was dialup internet but eventually cable internet appeared. Both companies offered email/web and other online related services. More info on the respective wiki's.
