Date: Thu, 21 Jul 2011 08:50:40 -0400 From: "Verizon Notifications" <Verizon-Notifications@message.verizon.com> To: vzetke4g@verizon.net Subject: Important Changes to your Verizon Internet Account for FTP* Users Dear Verizon Internet User: As part of our ongoing enhancements to the online customer experience, Verizon continues to ensure security for our Internet customers. As a result of this ongoing effort, Verizon Online is making modifications to the Internet access provided to you. These modifications will occur on August 21, 2011. For security reasons, Verizon will no longer allow users to FTP their HTML files to the personal web site Verizon offers. Verizon recommends that current FTP users download their files prior to August 21, 2011 to prevent any data loss. If you still wish to have a Verizon website, please go to our site builder tool available with Personal Webspace which can be found under My Services in My Verizon at: [http://link.verizon.com/C2L/jj.aspx?pid=jw9qF73fVt8$&odid=fYpYK5vj3kc$&sid=47q8x-J2jbLos2cKQxY0jA$$&aid=SfFSLh4zoxA$&URL=5qtce2EKtD_KTb05so-MSrZtuwMuQqO37mn2do_vEeXt3N7zxfrPCdi1x0-ehRSKxF2YsP8YPGUvbP9JuPQlRwG5NEuAja_CnrzZ4gmbPLQy2_vusdVpdH-KILyF4dMA6uEE8jFnHXr3J43Mzyji_A$$&] Remember, after August 21, 2011, you will not be able to use FTP for uploading your files. Thanks for being a valued Verizon Online customer. We encourage you to act now to protect your private information. How can I help?
Donating
Please donate to the Internet Archive. The Internet Archive will be hosting all these files by making them available through the wayback machine. The space is cheap, but maintaining the files on the server is not.
To illustrate the costs of permanently storing 1 TB of files: $2000
Running a Warrior
Fire up the warrior and select the Verizon project. Better yet, select ArchiveTeam's Choice.
Running scripts manually
Details are documented at verizon-grab.
Archives
Archives are available in WARC format. They are located at the archiveteam_verizon collection.
Not all could be saved as many were returning permanent "HTTP 423 Locked".
