Tildeverse

Lots of websites have user personal websites at ~/ URLs, and many of them are services designed specifically for that sort of use, collectively this phenomenon is known as the Tildeverse. Some of the Tildeverse is hosted on the SmolNet. These services have a tendency to be long lived, but some services do disappear over time, or hide user content after users leave, or users delete content.

Since these are usually based on files in directories on Unix systems, usually it is a good idea to search for open directory indexes. Unfortunately ArchiveBot isn't able to do this automatically yet, so doing it manually from the AB meta-WARC log is needed.

The Tildeverse is a good place to find non-mainstream source code repositories and forges for Codearchiver/SWH, so keep any eye out for links to those sort of sites.
