Imgsrc.ru is a simple photo sharing website which is especially popular in East Europe and Germany (Alexa rank ~1000) and has around a million registered users with 50 millions claimed uploads.
Registered users can upload photos and organise them in simple albums, which can also be password protected. Albums are categorised by theme, for instance travel (http://imgsrc.ru/cat/18-puteshestviya.html), and each photo can be commented.
The website is funded by ads which open in new tabs/pop-ups when opening an album (unless blocked); the only mention of financials from the owners was [1].
