APKMirror is a repository of older and, in some cases, current versions of numerous free Android applications, previously owned and operated by Android Police until mid-2021 when Android Police was acquired by Valnet. APKMirror was not part of the sale, and remains owned by Android Police's original founder Artem Russakovskii.

Some application developers have prevented APKMirror from accepting submissions through DMCA complaints, users who attempt to upload affected excluded applications to APKMirror will be served an error message stating as much.

APKMirror is also subject to US jurisdiction. In response to a potential ban of ByteDance-owned TikTok and an unclear picture as to whether state prosecutors would enforce the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act, APKMirror made TikTok APKs unavailable to US visitors following the second inauguration of Donald Trump.
