Arhivach (Архивач) is an archive of Russian-language imageboards 2ch.hk and iichan.hk.
The website was launched in May 2013. The first Wayback Machine snapshot of the website's thread index is from 11 May 2013[1] and the first posting on its Reformal.ru page is from 8 May 2013.[2] The earliest archived thread is from 4 December 2012.[3]
Since 2015, the website stores images and videos on its servers. Prior to that, it used free external image hosts, which were prone to data rot.[4]
On 23 December 2023, the website lost three-fourths of its image and video data, or roughly 26 million files, during a migration to new hardware.[5]
The website is maintained by a single person, and according to them donations and adverts do not cover the expenses.[6]
As of 31 December 2023, the service has archived more than 950,000 threads.[7]
