I woke up this morning and saw this in my IRC logs:
[07:47:04] Connecting to [irc.efnet.org] on port 6667 [07:47:04] Connection to host at [220.127.116.11] established [07:47:12] Closing Link: (*** Banned (cache)) [07:47:12] Disconnected
How'd I get banned from EFNET? It could have been the reconnect feature in my IRC client, but I'm not sure.--Start 09:49, 10 February 2015 (EST)
- It might be a different kind of problem, but until the solution arrives, let me share my experience that I've often had trouble connecting to servers I've been directed to from the central irc.efnet.org. So I always connect to irc.choopa.net, with which I've never had problems so far. bzc6p (talk) 15:52, 10 February 2015 (EST)
- Connecting directly to irc.shaw.ca works for me. --Start 16:02, 10 February 2015 (EST)
Freenode ownership change
So, this Gist is being shared around a bunch of different places today: https://gist.github.com/joepie91/df80d8d36cd9d1bde46ba018af497409 What does the described ownership change mean for the channels listed on this page?
