Gawker is an American blog [...] focusing on celebrities and the media industry. The blog promoted itself as "the source for daily Manhattan media news and gossip." (Wikipedia)
In August 2016, following a bankruptcy filing as a result of a lawsuit, Gawker ceased operations[1], though its website remained online. It was bought in 2018 in a bankruptcy auction by Bryan Goldberg and relaunched in 2021.
In November 2023, Gawker was acquired by Meng Ru Kuok.[2] The Gawker digital archive was not included in this purchase and all articles have been removed from the website.[2][3]
