Talk:Banned from youtube

Was running 2 of my archiveteam warrior appliance on the youtube project, was going well for about 36 hours. Now both appliances are dead in the water with a message of "You're likely banned, sleeping for 1800 seconds". It doesn't appear to be a full IP black list, as I can still access youtube from any browser within my network and what videos. Any ideas as to how to get unbanned? Better yet are there best practices to NOT get banned, as I assume running to appliances pulling 6 gets each is was pushed me over...?

I'm not sure but I do believe this Talk page is better placed under the appropriate Talk page; Talk:YouTube. As for the unbanning process, this can vary from temporary ban to indefinite ban, subject to website administrators' decisions. Some projects may allow you to run more than 6 jobs at once without risking being banned. However, as for this youtube project, it appears there are a few known triggers where you will face that message "you are likely banned", youtube-lua - Lines 917 to 920 on GitHub and youtube-lua - Lines 1400 to 1424 on GitHub, as well as a likely related GitHub issue, youtube-grab #15 on GitHub.
