The Shemmy is a relatively well-known imageboard dedicated mainly to the posting and creation of soyjaks similar to soyjak.party with it also being a spiritual successor to 4chan's /qa/ board. The original site was created by a Japanese man named svvt, a wordplay on the founder of soyjak.party's name, soot under the original domain of soygem.party. The site would be sold, re-bought, shut down, spammed, and repeatedly revived again and again. During these periods of shut down and revival the site would change owners and domains frequently over roughly 5 years under names like shemmy.lol, shemmy.tv, Soyjaks.com, bunker.soyja.cc, etc. Until 2026 when the site would return to its original domain of soygem.party with a new owner named Kamysh. Due to the instability of the sites administration and domains, threads and content from the site are at high risk of being lost.

The shemmy was taken down yet again due to a |exploit found by a hacker in vichan's source code. The hacker also took down multiple other soysphere sites such as swedishwin.com. It came back on a new software which is still in development.

/soap/ threads or Soysphere Happenings General is a popular genre of thread within the shemmy's history. These threads are used to monitor and archive sites like the shemmy, soyjak.party, and other soyjak related forums and imageboards. They are usually the most archived and findable threads from each shemmy revival.
