SciOp is a BitTorrent-based storage platform by Safeguarding Research & Culture dedicated to storing datasets to "ensure that our cultural, intellectual and scientific heritage exists in multiple copies, in multiple places, and that no single entity or group of entities can make it all disappear."[1].
It was launched in 2025 to distribute archives of a large amount of US Government datasets and currently hosts 268 TiB of data as of December 2025.
