Aida Buturović

Aida Buturović (1959-1992) was a Bosnian librarian at the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo. Born in 1959, she worked in the library's international exchange department and was pursuing doctoral studies when the Bosnian War began.

During the burning of the Vijećnica library on 25-26 August 1992, she assisted in efforts to rescue surviving manuscripts. She was killed by shrapnel later that day while returning home.
