However, the owner said in [http://nesdev.parodius.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?p=92871#92871 this forum post]:
==Assessment==
:Each and every hosted person here has a right to define whether or not they want their content archived. Some may have robots.txt in place, others may not but might have other conditionals (some technical, some via footers/agreements on their page). Their data is their data; I am not the owner of their data. I cannot decide for them if they are comfortable with that.
:If you feel comfortable with someone archiving your data like this, who is a third-party, I would recommend you contact them and offer/work out something. I'm fine with them archiving the home page, our FAQ, etc. -- sure, that's all public anyway. But our home page/etc. != users' content. Most of the site owners will be moving their stuff to other URLs, which means all the content/etc. will be available on the Internet just at a new URL.
:Bandwidth = not free. The last thing I need is to find my 95th percentile at 20mbit because someone thinks bandwidth grows on trees.

So if AT wants to help, these ground rules are in place:
A preliminary assessment of the Parodius Network details what appears to various shared sites hosted under subdomains of parodius.com:
# AT should get in touch with each site's owner.
# The archiving shouldn't proceed too fast.
# Organize efforts so as not to duplicate.

He has also provided detailed information about how long URL and email redirects will be in place to minimize link rot and lost mail, and given a wonderfully detailed FAQ of all the types of questions users would be bound to have. He even makes recommendations for other hosts that I know --from having been a former employee of one of them-- are strong and solid recommendations. There is even an offer for the operator to back up a user's content and mail it to them --free of charge-- should the user's bandwidth not be sufficient to back up all of the data. All of this is wonderful to see. It is a breath of fresh air and a wonderful example that we all wish the big players --Yahoo, etc-- would strive to.

If any member of the ArchiveTeam is currently scraping content, it is advised to cease for the moment, seeing as much of the community already has plans in place to migrate and isn't going anywhere any time soon. And of course, any content already scraped is not to be publicly mirrored or otherwise available at this point. --[[User:Aggroskater|Aggroskater]] 21:35, 27 April 2012 (EDT)

Migrations and Scraping

This community is not in any danger of sudden, irreversible disappearance. The operator has given ample time and advice for migrations.

--Aggroskater 21:35, 27 April 2012 (EDT)
