The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) is an online database of information related to movies, television shows, actors, production crew personnel, video games and fictional characters featured in visual entertainment media.

On Feb 3rd, 2017, IMDb announced it was closing down its user discussion boards site-wide on Feb 17th, 2017. [1]

How to help?

We need volunteers and it will be great if you help us.

There are 2 ways: the easy one is described below. The advanced way is for users who are familiar with Linux and wish to start the downloader scripts themselves. (Please do not run the scripts manually on Windows, use the Warrior instead)

The simple way

Requirements: VirtualBox (recommended) or VMWare Player to run the virtual machine, a few gigabytes of disk space and a pinch of salt combined with an unrestricted Internet access.

The quick start instructions can be found on our ArchiveTeam Warrior wiki page.

Software Updater is required for the downloader to work

Please do an update of the Warrior software prior to starting the IMDb project. It should not take any longer than 2-10 minutes and may require a manual reboot of the Warrior.
